Ziele

a) Erörterung aller vier Themen,

Reflecting on the work of ICT-COM

People taking part in the events and activities organised by our group (ICT-COM) get three things out of their participation:

  • networking (meeting and exchanging with peers)
  • learning through 1) expert input from speakers and 2) peer exchange building on personal experience and knowledge.
  • the possibility to have an impact on their professional environment and get things done.

It is in the light of this third point, in particular, that we have to look at our current projects not so much as separate events like Münchenwiler, but as a longer term process.

Here is a schematic representation of this year’s work:

This work has participants:

  1. Identify, formulate and put forward ideas for key issues that need to be dealt with.
  2. Selected a limited number of them for in-depth work.
  3. Develop those ideas and make concrete policy proposals.
  4. Then participate in working on the implementation of those options.

On another level this has participants getting accustomed to using such online platforms and participating in the experimentation of a collaborative approach to policy development.

Although I write "policy propositions" in the schema, the word "policy" may be incorrect to name what such actors are able and allowed to produce and introduce into the educational system. It might be that the Swiss education system is not ready for such actors to actually produce and advocate policy proposals.

On this basis, here’s a rough schema of the activities of the Münchenwiler meeting.

Note that by lobbying people to support a particular issue there is a beginning of group formation for the subsequence group work.

The aim of the input from David Bosshart (if it is possible for him to participate) is to situate our work and the activities in Münchenwiler in relation to working on possible futures and transposing that reflection to concrete policy proposals.
